Karen creates in her West Chester studio and works part-time at the Chester County Art Association staging exhibitions in their two main galleries in West Chester and partner sites throughout Chester County.

Karen has a MFA from Radford University in VA. A seven foot sculpture of hers still stands in Radford’s courtyard out side their gallery.  It is her hopes to replace this 26 year old, seen-better-days sculpture with an upgrade.

Karen learned to oxygen-acetylene weld at age 17 while attending the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts held at Bucknell University that summer. She gathered with 59 other high school age visual artists selected from throughout PA.  There were also vocalists, musicians, dancers, and actors (Kevin Bacon attended not long before Karen did).  Sadly the Governor’s School no longer exists.

Karen has a 13’, five ton sculpture permanently installed in 1993 along the Danube River in Hungary. Delaney’s maiden name was Baldauf.
